As a Holistic Sleep Coach, I recognise that every child and family is unique, and offer a personalised approach. When working with families, I consider a broad range of factors that may be influencing your child's sleep:
Child’s Age and Developmental Stage: Tailoring strategies to align with your child's growth and milestones.
Family Dynamics: Understanding the interactions and rhythms within your family.
Temperament and Personality: Acknowledging your child’s individual traits and behaviours.
Anxiety, Stressors, and Illness: Addressing emotional and physical health that may affect sleep.
Sleep Hygiene, Environment, and Sleep Patterns: Creating ideal settings and routines, tailored to your child’s needs.
Diet and Nutrition: Considering dietary influences and any potential allergies or intolerance's.
Exercise and Activity Levels: Incorporating appropriate levels of physical activity.
I respect your expertise as a parent and am committed to developing gentle, responsive and age appropriate strategies that align with your values. I advocate for parenting that fosters secure attachments and prioritises bonding.
I aim to empower parents to trust their instincts, and offer non-judgemental, and compassionate support.
By prioritising family-centred care and recognising you as the expert on your child, I ensure strategies are always in your child's best interests.
Through education on biologically normal infant sleep and responsive feeding, I promote realistic expectations and provide holistic care for you and your family.
My Principles as a Holistic Sleep Coach:
No Non-Responsive Methods: Avoiding separation-based sleep training/cry-alone techniques.
Respectful Guidance: Supporting when and how you respond to your child without dictating.
Comfort in Practice: Ensuring comfort with suggested strategies, prioritising attachment.
Individualised Planning: Offering tailored, flexible plans, not rigid, generic methods.
Realistic Expectations: Setting realistic and achievable goals without promising quick fixes or guaranteed results.
